Submission Guidelines

RUTHED.COM accepts reader submitted content that adheres to the following guidelines:

Your account must list your legitimate Second Life name (no alts created just for posting drama).
When reporting entertainment gossip try and use creative names and not name the person directly.
No posting real life information in the submitted content, please stick to Second Life people, places or things.
Use spell check! Good grammar is encouraged, but nobody’s perfect, so as long as it’s understandable we will accept it.
Limit your post to 3 pictures or less.
Your pictures must be less than 700px wide.
You can link to your FlickR images, YouTube account, or any other media but you MUST follow their guidelines (i.e., keep their links intact, give proper credit, etc.).

How do I submit content to RUTHED.COM?

Register an account at RUTHED.COM (your Userrname should be your Second Life name)
Be familiar with WordPress (If you’re not, read this tutorial. We cannot teach you how to blog!)
Post your entry and wait for approval (If it’s published, we approve!)

What kind of content are we looking for?

Anything funny, intriguing, smart, well-written, interesting. We’re open to suggestions! You write it, we’ll publish it (maybe)!

What kind of content are we NOT looking for?

Self-promotion. Brand promotion. Business promotion. WE DO NOT WANT TO ADVERTISE FOR YOU (for free).
Rants about… your personal life, your neighbors, your ex-partners, your friends. That’s what a personal blog is for! Unless your rant is VERY entertaining, please don’t bother.

How come you didn’t post my entry?

We reserve the right to not publish anything that does not adhere to submission guidelines or deemed inappropriate for RUTHED.COM readers.
