Having been in 3d awhile and knowing where to get skin resources such as renderosity and another specific site you can buy or get access to skin resources, its pretty darn hard to say that only one maker, especially in SL has only that part. The only exceptions that I can specifically point to is when there are skin artist from the 3D community who come into SL with skins they make that have bases that no one else has access to and other skin artist that operate the same way – ie do not buy from merchant resources or pay for access resource sites but hire models or base on their own skin.

I am all for sniffing out ripped textures but knowing that a majority of skin makers get their bases from the same places, I feel that it is better to absolutely rule this out before accusing someone from ripping. There should be experienced people looking over skins that come out but like so many things in xstreet say LL has to rely on its customers to report stuff like this. I can not count how many times I have seen copyrighted stuff blatantly adverted on xstreet featured ads.

Has anyone bothered to ask where each of these makers got their bases from or even asked Reila? Undeniable proof needs to be established first.

Buying demos and then accidentally purchasing a fatpack? OK, understandable. But, you don’t honestly expect me to give you a refund for something non-transferable, do you?

I’ll admit – I’ve done it once. I refunded a customer for a non-transferable product one time and I wasn’t thrilled with it, but the customer was nice and genuinely sincere.

Now, had it been me in your position, the conversation would have been a bit different. After threatening me, I’d have given her a reason to report me. That’s just the short version, but God help you if you catch me on a bad day with that kind of crap. I can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Which do you prefer?

I don’t do a lot of flying, but it’s ridiculous to turn off flying in huge sims.

Another trick you can use if you have Emerald: cam into whatever room you want and double click. You’ll just TP there instantly. It’s faster than flying anyway :)
