If you’re reading this post, I’m sure you’re aware of the last week’s drama concerning Jori Watler and her supposed real life lies. People lying about their real lives in SL isn’t particularly uncommon, but those lies don’t always include a woman lying about the unfortunate deaths of her husband and child. We’ll take it chronologically.

A simple add to a Spotify friends list. The name listed is her married name hyphenated with her (birth? ex-husband? we’ll get to that) name. When the story of how her husband and daughter were tragically killed in a road traffic accident kept growing more elaborate with time, it made us a little suspicious.

This is an excerpt from the story that she has told countless times to many people. The details have been confirmed with multiple sources. Everyone seems to get a very slightly different version of it. Here’s one of them.

If it were true, it would be heartbreaking. So we googled the name she assigned to her husband – Jett – along with both of the last names she was given. There was no sign of anyone with that name, and certainly not a racing driver for BMW who was killed in Georgia who had his infant daughter in the car. In fact, we widened the search a little – we couldn’t find a racing driver for BMW or anyone else who has been killed in a road traffic accident since 1958.

[Edit] We’ve heard from several people that the name of her deceased husband is different – Rod seems to be pretty common, but over the last year, she has used Jett.

So we googled her name. This person’s profile was on the first page.

Who’s that? We thought her husband was killed, but yet this guy is posting images of Jori’s son at baseball games? Then we saw this…

So… this guy is Nik’s dad?

– Just for further information, since the claim that this person was her husband was posted on another blog, Jori told her friends and SL family that Don is her brother in law.

He had postings for a house listing on that page, and lots of adorable photos of pets.

So we took a little scroll through her plurk timeline. We found a few examples of photos taken in her home of her pets and Christmas tree, and matched them up to images from the house sale listing.

In particular, notice the photos on the shelves.

That’s a reasonably distinctive couch, we’d say.

More from Google. This image was already posted by another blog, but we’d like to elaborate on it a little.

Her Classmates.com profile, mentioning a husband, son and… daughter?

After the blog post that was able to locate where she had taken the pictures she pretended were her (well done to the person who found that – we tried and failed!) she posted this on plurk, after deleting and reactivating her account.

(there was more, but it’s the last line we’re focusing on).

So she’s never had a Classmates.com account? This is an awful lot of information for someone who isn’t her to be able to post…

And when we went to look at it again, look what we found…

The circled part is her UUID – unique user ID – and works much like a facebook one (remember those numbers you used to get in your url?). So, either someone who isn’t her deleted the profile, or she did, right before she claimed she never made it.

So we looked up the company name that she claims to own – Digital Bella Media. We found that it’s a “subsidiary” of another company that we’ve again linked to her through a paypal transaction we have opted not to post at all, because it specifically relates to one person. The paypal transaction, incidentally, also included Don’s email address as the account holder email address, but Jori had entered her own email in the user entered fields. Silly.

The company is called Silver Elite Holdings. All images relating to this company are publically available via Georgia state corporate registrations. We are choosing not to link directly to the documents because of how much information they contain, relating to addresses, and particularly because there is information about minors contained within them.

Don and Melissa/Jori are listed as having the same address.

It was originally registered as follows.

The blurred address is the same as the one for their house sale listing. She’s spending an awful lot of time with her brother in law, right?

But then it got a little more interesting.

Jori, why is your pre-pubsecent son the President of a company? But more interesting still, now we have a last name for her daughter. And what do we find?

Class of 2009, huh? Oh, wow. The earliest date we can find of this story being told is in 2008.

We did not find any obituaries relating to the deaths of the husband and daughter, anywhere.

This post has been compiled by five people with access to Google. ALL information found within it was found within around an hour. It has not been hard to find.

Approximately a week ago, we were made aware of a plurk of Jori’s that could only be described as bullying in nature, and related to someone we know. We sent her the link to Don’s facebook profile, and she posted it on her own plurk timeline, with a statement that it was merely a warning, and that the person means nothing to anyone who does not already know who he is.

Jori deleted all plurks victimising this person immediately, and within minutes Don’s facebook profile was wiped of all photos of their son, all mentions of Silver Elite Holdings, and all photos of their house. Jori’s real life facebook profile was deleted completely.

Why did she delete those specific things, if there was nothing there to hide?

Jori on Skype, and….

Heidi. To borrow a quote from the night that blog post was first published, “I bet she’s on Skype with her sl family, talking in a Swedish accent and giving them makeup tips”.

She admitted the fake pictures – how could she not, really? – but maintained the claim that her husband and daughter had been killed. As recently as a few days ago, she was claiming to be a single mother on plurk. We’re in no doubt that she is going to have some story or other, but we would encourage anyone reading this to bear in mind – if what she is telling you is the truth, why hasn’t that been the story all along?

If you’re an SL designer and you have received a list similar to this, please TRASH IT immediately, and mute the sender. This is utter trash, and I am offended this person would dare ask for money for her low quality blogging “services”. S-C-A-M!

I thought they were inexpensive, and pretty well done, so I found the creator and sent her an IM in-world to say how much I liked her lips. The exchange was brief, and she was nice enough. She also provided pretty excellent customer service when one of the packs that I’ve purchased was delivered incorrectly.

Readers on my blog noticed the new tattoos and asked where I purchased them from — but I didn’t share. I am selfish. I like to keep some things to myself. What’s new?

Another reason why I didn’t share the info is because I thought this creator was kind of an asshole after reading her picks. I didn’t feel bad about not giving her business any publicity. I’m really sorry to the 20+ people who left comments on my blog and Flickr inquiring about these lips, but I just don’t want to endorse someone with this attitude.

Hey Blog Critics perhaps you should make yourself familiar with the concept of Gonzo Journalism before snubbing your nose at certain bloggers. And if you don’t know what that is perhaps you should google it (nice use of colloquialism there).   For me in particular I make grammar mistakes all the time.  I misspell words all the time.  I may even leave out a word or two as well.  My use of punctuation SUCKS!  But guess what?  I have a bachelors degree and have completed coursework on the masters level in Social Work.  I ain’t a dummy but I do make mistakes. I am tired of people in fashion trying to impose standards in regards to what is a good blog:  This uppitiness ranges from criticizing their grammar to deleting their blog from a feed because their pictures aren’t good enough.  For god’s sake why add them in the first place?  Lighten up folks – end this virtual snobbery now!  Okay end of rant.
